Jim Ciortan

Jim Ciortan is the Chief Business Officer of Trase, a Red Cell Partners portfolio company.

Mr. Ciortan is a proven commercial executive who has built and scaled enterprise businesses across fintech, payments, SaaS, with a career focused on selling into highly regulated industries. Most recently, he served as CRO of Enterprise for at Stripe Americas, responsible for growing a $1.5B revenue business and grew the business 40% YOY during his tenure. Before Stripe, he was CRO at Venminder, a Gartner-rated leader in TPRM. There he moved the business upmarket and horizontally beyond financial services, secured dozens of Fortune 500 customers, and scaled ARR by 5X ahead of its acquisition by Ncontracts and Hg Capital. Earlier in his career at PayPal, Mr. Ciortan helped grow the North America business nearly 3X over, built out the Global Accounts sales organization, and led the integration of PayPal's and Braintree's enterprise GTM teams. He is also an advisor to fintech, financial services, and AI-native companies.

Mr. Ciortan has an MBA in Finance and Strategy from DePaul University's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.
